ANTARCTIC WILDLIFE PROTECTION

Science under sail. Protection through knowledge.

Our mission is to build the scientific foundation for protecting Antarctica’s most important wildlife habitats.

Starting in 2027/28, our international team will return every two years to the Antarctic Peninsula and the Danger Islands aboard Malizia Explorer. By tracking penguins and other seabirds, monitoring their colonies, and uncovering past ecosystem change, we will identify the places these animals depend on—and build the long-term evidence needed to guide their protection.
